Food and drink lovers are being invited to devour Urmston as part of the town’s partnership with this year’s Manchester Food and Drink Festival.
A series of special ticketed walking tours have just been announced, inviting guests to enjoy a taste of what the Urmston’s award winning pubs, restaurants and bars have to offer through a roving culinary walking tour that sees guests enjoy drinks, starters, main courses, desserts and nightcaps in different venues around the town.
The events have been planned as part of Urmston’s partnership with this year’s Manchester Food and Drink Festival and to highlight and showcase the town’s fantastic independent food and drink scene.
More than 12 different venues are taking part including Kelder, Leoncino, Harry’s, The Barking Dog, The Steamhouse, Astoria and The Prairie Schooner all showcasing a special food or drink item off their menu.
Co-chair of the Urmston Partnership, Claire Foster, said: “There are so many great food and drink businesses to showcase in Urmston that it made sense to stage a roving walking tour that dipped in and out of each and gave guests the opportunity to try a number of different tastes. Early interest in the tours has been good and we expect tickets to sell quickly.”
Director of the Manchester Food and Drink Festival, Alexa Stratton-Powell, said: “There are some many talented independents in Urmston and the tours are super way for those from outside of the town to sample the very best of its food and drink offering in one fabulous trip. Starting at £25, the tickets are great value and include a great selection of food and drink.”
Three tours will be taking place; Urmston’s Ultimate Tastes Tour on Wednesday 30 September from 4pm, Pizza and Prosecco on Thursday 1 October from 4pm and Pub Classics onSunday 4 October from 4.30pm.
All participating venues are fully Covid-secure and comply fully with Trafford coronavirus rules and regulations. Events are strictly ticket only to ensure enough space to ensure social distancing can be observed and to move freely around inside. Guests are requested to bring a mask with them to cover their face when not eating or drinking.
Tickets are on sale now (see links below) priced from £25-35 per person and can be purchased in groups of two. Guests are reminded to only book in household groups.
